TheatreStory:
Vaazha II: Biopic of a Billion Bros (lit. “Plantain II: Biopic of a Billion Bros”) is a coming-of-age comedy drama film in Malayalam that was written by Vipin Das and directed by Savin SA in 2026. It is a follow-up to the 2024 film Vaazha: Biopic of a Billion Boys. In addition to Vijay Babu, Aju Varghese, Bijukuttan, Alphonse Puthren, and Sudheesh in supporting parts, the movie features Hashir H., Alan Bin Siraj, Ajin Joy, and Vinayak V.
The main photography was done in Georgia, the United Arab Emirates, and Ernakulam between April and November of 2025. On April 2, 2026, Vaazha II: Biopic of a Billion Bros. was released. Critics gave the movie favorable reviews. As the highest-grossing Malayalam movie of 2026 and the fifth highest-grossing Malayalam movie ever, it was a commercial success. Vaazha III: Biopic of a Billion Girls, a follow-up, was revealed.
Close friends Hashir, Alan, Ajin, and Vinayak frequently clash with their teachers due to their actions and interactions with pupils. After Ashna, Alan’s sister, is caught skipping class at a theater and a teacher named Mujeeb publicly humiliates her in front of her parents, tensions rise and Alan and Hashir attack him. Manoj Sir gets unintentionally hurt in a violent struggle that breaks out after the four friends are discovered consuming drugs they bought from a vendor close to their school. The boys are eventually permitted to take their exams when DySP Xavier Alexander blames Mujeeb’s misbehavior as well as parental carelessness for the situation.
The buddies drift apart over time. Ajin relocates to Dubai to work with his brother, Alan and Vinayak go for the UK, where they find it difficult to adjust to life overseas, and Hashir fails his higher secondary exams and stays in India. They still miss each other terribly despite their distance from one another. The film concludes on a poignant note with Vinayak’s father passing away from liver cirrhosis. Later, it focuses on their connections with their families, especially their siblings. In the last moments, a flashback shows that after being attacked by Ameen and his brothers during a wedding, Hashir subsequently exacts revenge on them with the help of his buddies.
