TheatreGajendra Ahire is the director of the 2024 Hindi-language drama film The Signature, which is also produced by K. C. Bokadia and Anupam Kher Studio. It is a Hindi version of the 2013 Marathi film Anumati, which won a National Award and starring Vikram Gokhale.
The lead in the Hindi version is played by Anupam Kher, while Mahima Chaudhry, Ranvir Shorey, Annu Kapoor, Manoj Joshi, and Neena Kulkarni play supporting parts. Mahima, who last appeared in “Dark Chocolate” in 2016, is making a reappearance in this movie. The movie received an early screening at the Namaste Vietnam Festival in 2023 and made its debut on the streaming service ZEE5 on October 4, 2024.
The main character of The Signature is an elderly man whose life takes a devastating turn when his wife is hospitalized due to a serious illness. The man’s attempts to save her are beset by emotional and financial difficulties as her condition deteriorates. He receives assistance from an old college acquaintance who helps him deal with his challenges despite his mounting despair.
