The Bhootnii

Story:

The Bhootnii, which translates to “The Ghostess,” is a 2025 Hindi-language comedic horror film that was produced by Deepak Mukut and Sanjay Dutt and written and directed by Sidhaant Sachdev. Sanjay Dutt, Sunny Singh, Mouni Roy, and Palak Tiwari are the film’s main actors. On May 1, 2025, the Bhootnii was made available.

The novel, which is set in the fictional St. Vincent College in Delhi, centers on the myth of the “Virgin Tree,” which is said to bestow genuine love to anybody who prays beneath it on Valentine’s Day. However, a furious spirit claims the soul of a student who suddenly dies every year on Holika Dahan.

After a recent breakup, Shantanu is devastated and longs for genuine love. She finds comfort beneath the Virgin Tree. Mohabbat, a ghost, gets awakened by his appeal and falls deeply in love with him. A string of unsettling incidents on campus result from Mohabbat’s growing passion, which causes her to haunt everybody who stands in her way of Shantanu.

In order to counter the increasing paranormal activity, the college administration brings in Baba, a seasoned para-physicist and college graduate. Baba investigates the mystery using unusual devices, learning about Mohabbat’s tragic past and her relationship to the college.
