Santosh Thundiyil is a filmmaker from India. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Devadoothan (2000), Krrish (2006), Pinjar (2003), Rowdy Rathore (2012), and Jai Ho (2014) are among of his most well-known films. Santosh was raised in the Keralan town of Changanacherry. He attended Sacred Heart English Medium School and earned a degree in chemistry from Changanacherry’s St. Berchmans College. In 1994, Santosh completed his masters diploma in cinematography at the esteemed FTII in Pune, India. He was chosen as a student to represent Asia at the second European seminar for Student Directors of Photography, which was held at the National Film School, Hungary in Budapest, under the direction of Dean Cundey and Billy Williams, the British cinematographer who won an Oscar.
