Story:

Satluj is a moving biographical drama centered on the story of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra whose quest for truth revealed some of the darkest aspects of Punjab’s past. Taking place amid the turmoil caused by the insurgency of Punjab, the film tells a story of how Khalra started investigating his aunt’s mysterious disappearance and eventually discovered shocking truths about the alleged extrajudicial killings and cremations of thousands of people. Gradually unraveling the truth, Jaswant comes across the dark and complex web of police officials, political forces and widespread corruption, which threatens his own life and the life of his loved ones. Not ready to stay silent, he becomes involved in an arduous struggle for justice.
