TheatreAn forthcoming action movie in Hindi, Ruslaan, is being produced and directed by K. K. Radhamohan and stars Karan Lalit Butani. Aayush Sharma plays the lead part in it, and Sushrii Shreya Mishraa, Jagapathi Babu, and Vidya Malvade co-star.
However, Ruslaan lacks the perspective of a docu-drama as well as the urgency of breaking news. In fact, the first half of the movie is so wonderful that it will give even a Saridon a headache, bringing to memory the family socials of the 1970s.
By its own standards, the movie warms up in the second half. Ruslaan gains focus after the bombing, the protagonist’s capture, and the police torture of him. But soon enough, we see that writers Brahma-Dhruv and director Mohan C. Sharma are just not capable of doing the job. Their careful representation of all viewpoints is their lone saving grace.
In the first half, Meghaa, a debutante, speaks more quickly than Sholay’s motormouth Basanti and brings to mind the youthful, attractive leading ladies of the 1970s. Meghaa is the daughter of Moushumi Chatterjee, the heroine of the decade. In contrast, hero Raajveer performs better. Yet that doesn’t really say anything.
