Biography:

Shiva is a Tamil-speaking Indian comedian, actor, radio host, and dialogue writer. He has appeared in a number of Tamil-language movies and is known to his followers as Agila Ulaga Superstar (Superstar of the Whole World). Shiva held a position as a radio host with Radio Mirchi before to beginning his acting career. He became well-known for his roles in the Venkat Prabhu comedies Chennai 600028 and Saroja before also appearing in Thamizh Padam. He specializes in comedic roles. He acquired the moniker “Mirchi Shiva” during his time working for Radio Mirchi.

Shiva’s first on-screen appearance was in the 2001 movie 12B as Shaam’s companion in a supporting role. Along with ten other newcomers, he made his acting debut as the lead in Venkat Prabhu’s 2007 sports comedy Chennai 600028. Saroja (2008) was his next performance, again under Venkat’s direction. Both movies were big moneymakers.

After that, Shiva starred in Thamizh Padam (2010), a feature-length spoof of modern Tamil film, and his performance was praised highly. His comedy Va Quarter Cutting made a mediocre amount of money. His first non-comedic endeavor was the long-delayed romance drama Pathinaaru, which was released in 2011. He also finished Rama Narayanan’s comedy Siva Poojaiyil Karadi during that time, but the movie was never released.

He co-starred with Vimal in Sundar C’s comedy Kalakalappu in 2012, which received favorable reviews and did well at the box office. Shiva, who played the part of small-time criminal Raghu, was called the movie’s “scene-stealer” and “carries the first half with his quips” by critics. The actor received more screenplays as a result of the movie’s success, and Shiva went on to appear in four comedies in 2013. His debut film, Thillu Mullu, a remake of the 1981 Rajinikanth movie, too did well financially and starred him with Isha Talwar and Prakash Raj. With a critic commenting that “Shiva has taken the entire film in his shoulders and has given his best,” the actor was also recognized for his effective portrayal of a conman.
