Vidya Malvade

Biography:

Malvade was born in Maharashtra, India, on March 2, 1973. She is Smitha Patil’s niece, the seasoned actor. She is the sister of two people.

Vidya began her work as a broadcast hostess. After that, she started modeling, and Prahlad Kakkar, the director of several ads, picked her for them. Her acting debut was in the 2003 box office failure Inteha, starring Vikram Bhatt.

She appeared in several unsuccessful films and commercials before starring as the goaltender and captain of the Indian women’s national hockey team in Chak De India in 2007. The last film she was in was Yaara Silly Silly.

Vidya was an air hostess and a law student. Capt. Arvind Singh Bagga, her first husband, flew with Alliance Air. When Alliance Air Flight 7412 crashed into a Patna building in 2000, he lost his life.

She wed Sanjay Dayma in 2009. Dayma collaborated with Ashutosh Gowariker as the film’s associate director and screenwriter on the Oscar-nominated Lagaan.
