Story:

The 1997 Indian mythological film Ramayanam, also known as Bala Ramayanam (translated as Child Ramayanam), was directed by Gunasekhar and produced by M. S. Reddy. The movie, which is based on the Hindu epic Ramayana, stars more than 3000 young performers.

N. T. Rama Rao Jr. portrays Lord Rama, and Smitha Madhav plays Sita in the film. The movie debuts on April 11th, 1997. It won two Nandi Awards and the National Film Award for Best Children’s Film. “NTR’s Bala Ramayanam” is a Telugu-language Indian mythological film released in 1997, which holds a special place in the hearts of Telugu cinema enthusiasts.

Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, fondly known as NTR, was a charismatic and iconic actor in Telugu cinema. He was not only celebrated for his cinematic excellence. The movie “Bala Ramayanam” was a departure from NTR’s typical roles as a hero and showcased his versatility as an actor. Directed by Gunasekhar, the film presented an adaptation of the epic Indian mythological text, the Ramayana, with NTR portraying Lord Rama.

NTR’s portrayal of Lord Rama was a testimony to his remarkable acting skills.  His deep voice, commanding presence, and devotion to the character made him the perfect choice for this role.”Bala Ramayanam” focused on the childhood and early adulthood of Lord Rama, highlighting key episodes from the Ramayana.
