Oy!

Story:

Oy! is a Telugu romantic drama written and directed by debutant Anand Ranga, featuring Siddharth and Shamili in the lead roles, with Sunil and Ali in supporting roles. The film’s music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The story follows Uday (Siddharth) as he fulfills the wishes of Sandhya (Shamili), who is diagnosed with cancer, during her last days.

Released on 3 July 2009, the film is loosely based on the 2002 movie A Walk to Remember and was dubbed in Tamil as Kadhal Alai.

Despite not performing well at the box office initially, Oy! gained a strong cult following over the years, becoming a favorite for many. It was re-released on Valentine’s Day in 2024, receiving collective praise for its storyline as well as its songs.
