TheatreNippu Ravva is a 1993 Telugu-language action movie that was directed by A. Kodandarami Reddy and produced by M.V. Srinivas Prasad under the Yuvarathna Arts label. A. R. Rahman’s background score is accompanied by music by Bappi Lahiri & Raj-Koti, and the film stars Nandamuri Balakrishna and Vijayashanti. Both Nippu Ravva and Bangaru Bullodu, which starred Balakrishna, debuted on the same day and ran for more than a century. Suriya and Mawaali Raaj, the Tamil and Hindi dubbings, were done, respectively. In addition, it was the final pairing of performers Vijayashanthi and Balakrishna, who had previously appeared in a number of films together.
Suryam receives a seven-year prison sentence for murder at the start of the movie. He breaks out of jail and kidnaps Vijaya, the sister of the local SP, Indrani. He leads her to a wilderness where he is given sanctuary by the native people. When Vijaya tries to flee, Suryam thwarts her attempts. After realising that he is not a nasty man, she becomes curious about how he got to be a prisoner. He reveals to her that he was formerly a trade union leader at a coal mine that Balagam Dhanraj controlled and that he oppressed his employees. Suryam worked against Dhanraj all the time.
The coal mine’s experts have noticed that water from the Godavari River is leaking into the mines, which makes working there hazardous since the tunnels may collapse as a result of the leak. Their worries are ignored by Dhanraj. Hundreds of workers’ lives are put in peril when the mines inevitably flood. After Suryam is successful in saving the miners, he sues Dhanraj for negligence. Dhanraj gives his goon Dasu the order to kill the chief engineer. Then, accusing the chief engineer of being the primary cause of the mining disaster, he builds a case against him.
Dasu is being pursued by Suryam, but he is saved and given a false alibi by a dishonest SI named Prabhakar. After discovering this, Suryam launches a campaign against these practices and raises awareness of the problem. He launches a hunger strike that receives national notice. To weaken her brother’s determination, Suryam’s sister Bharati is abducted by Kumar, Dhanraj’s son, who then sexually abuses her. Dhanraj gives the order to kill Bharati, but Suryam manages to save her. Dasu gets arrested for the crime throughout this, and he passes away by his own hand.
