TheatreThe 2001 Telugu-language action drama film Narasimha Naidu was written and directed by B. Gopal and stars Chinni Krishna. Mani Sharma created the soundtrack for the film, which stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, Simran, Preeti Jhangiani, and Asha Saini.
On January 11, 2001, Narasimha Naidu was released with Devi Putrudu by Venkatesh and Mrugaraju by Chiranjeevi. The film garnered favourable reviews from critics and achieved tremendous success at the box office, grossing ₹40 crore on a budget of ₹6-9 crore. Nandamuri Balakrishna’s performance in the movie earned him the Nandi Award for Best Actor. Arjun starred in the Tamil remake, Ezhumalai (2002).
Raghupati Naidu and Appala Naidu, two rival villages in the Visakhapatnam district, get into a fight. Raghupati Naidu is a peace-loving person, therefore Appala Naidu, full of hate, tramples their village. He crouches on the temple grounds of Lakshmi Narasimha. With an eye towards the future, Raghupati Naidu names his younger son Narasimha Naidu and orders the sacrifice of a male kid from a household in order to establish an army. Years later, Anjali, the spoilt daughter of Kuppuswamy Naidu, a fierce faction member, grows up at her maternal uncle’s home. Later on, Narasimha Naidu, the owner of a dancing school, serves as her inspiration. Anjali begins as his pupil and grows fond of him.
In the meantime, Anjali’s alliance with his nephew, Appala Naidu’s son, is arranged by Kuppuswamy Naidu. As a dowry, his sister Nagamani requests that the man who killed her husband, Narasimha Naidu, be butchered. A later on, when the bridegroom tries to grab her, Anjali proclaims her love for Narasimha Naidu. As the bridegroom’s goons pursue them, Narasimha Naidu and Anjali board the same train. When a vengeful Narasimha Naidu then makes himself known, the henchen flee in terror, identifying him as Narasimha Naidu. Subsequently, Narasimha Naidu discloses his background and finds out who Anjali is.
