Deeksha Seth

Biography:

On February 14, 1990, Seth was born in Delhi. Her family has moved frequently and lived in many regions of India, including Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Uttar Pradesh, as well as Kathmandu, Nepal, as a result of her father’s employment with ITC Limited and frequent transfers. She completed her nursery and third-grade education in Chennai before enrolling in a college in Mumbai. She went to Mayo College Girls’ School in Ajmer, which is a boarding school. She has one older sister, who resides and works in Mumbai at the moment. She mentions her desire to work as a marine archaeologist.

A Femina Miss India contest scout noticed her at an NSS event in 2009, during her first year of college, and convinced her to start modelling and compete in the pageant. With the assistance of her father’s acquaintance, she put up a portfolio and entered the competition. Despite having no prior modelling experience, she made the top 10 and won the Fresh Face award.

She was discovered by the casting director of the Telugu movie Vedam by Krish while she was working on a modelling assignment in Hyderabad. After 70 girls were rejected by the producers for the role of Pooja, the wealthy girlfriend of Cable Raju (played by Allu Arjun), she was selected because she “loved the script and decided to give it a shot.”Anthology drama Vedam received positive reviews upon release and was recognised at several award ceremonies. She quickly signed up for two more films, the next of which being the highly successful Mirapakay starring Ravi Teja.

She made her acting debut as a lead female character in the action drama Wanted with Gopichand, which was released two weeks after Mirapakaay and debuted to disastrous box office results. She has commitments for three other Telugu projects: Rebel, starring Prabhas and Tamannaah; Nippu, starring Ravi Teja once more; and Uu Kodathara? Ulikki Padathara? a socio-fantasy movie. Additionally, she was cast in the 2013 Tamil movie Vettai Mannan, starring Silambarasan, and Suseenthiran’s Rajapattai, starring Vikram.
