Story:

“Family,” also known as “Family – Ties of Blood,” is a 2006 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The movie features Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Aryeman Ramsay, and Bhumika Chawla. Released on 13 January 2006, it marked Aryeman Ramsey’s first significant role in a film.

The plot revolves around Viren Sahai (Amitabh Bachchan), an underworld don based in Bangkok, seeking revenge against his rival Khan (Kader Khan) for attacking his son Abhir (Sushant Singh). Viren travels to India after receiving information about Khan’s whereabouts in a local cinema. The story then shifts to Shekhar Bhatia (Akshay Kumar), a simple canteen owner, and his family.

While searching for his runaway brother Aryan, Shekhar witnesses Viren’s attack on Khan in the cinema. Shekhar, trying to help the innocent people caught in the chaos, gets mistakenly shot by Viren, who believes Shekhar is affiliated with Khan. Shekhar dies, leaving Aryan devastated. In retaliation, Aryan and his friends kidnap Viren’s family, intending to seek justice. The situation escalates as Viren tries to locate the gang, leading to unforeseen consequences.

A series of events unfold, with Aryan attempting to bring Viren to justice without harming his family. Tragically, Viren’s wife dies during the chaos, further intensifying the conflict. Aryan calls for a meeting with Viren to settle matters, but the corrupt police intervene, favoring Viren. A gripping gun battle ensues, resulting in Viren killing corrupt cops, Khan, and others. The climax sees a confrontation between Viren and Aryan, where Aryan’s friends are taken into custody.

In a twist, a changed Viren decides to surrender to the police on the condition that his son be absolved of crimes. As Viren’s world crumbles, Aryan, now free, decides not to kill his father, stating that life itself is Viren’s punishment. The film concludes with Aryan and his friends finding work at the place Shekhar used to manage, continuing Shekhar’s legacy in the canteen.
