Biography:

Rajat Arora, born on July 23, 1975, is a seasoned independent screenwriter with a remarkable career spanning over two decades in the Indian film and television industry.

Arora has become synonymous with punch-packed dialogues, contributing significantly to the success of various hit movies. Some of his notable works include “Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai” (2010), “The Dirty Picture” (2011), “Kick” (2014), “Gabbar Is Back” (2015), and “Taxi No. 9211” (2006).

His expertise extends across diverse genres, showcasing his versatility in crafting impactful narratives for action films, comedy-dramas, superhero stories, romantic musicals, and biopics.

“Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai” (2010) stands out as a critically acclaimed gangster movie that achieved blockbuster status. Arora’s powerful, motivational, and insightful dialogues in the film have become part of street-speak for the Indian audience.

“The Dirty Picture” (2011), another cultish movie loosely based on the life of a South Indian actor, stirred feminist discourse and challenged conservative norms in Indian society. Arora’s script added immense flavor to the film, earning praise for its bold and unapologetic treatment of sensitive subjects.

In 2017, Arora contributed to “Baadshaho,” a period action-thriller directed by Milan Luthria and starring Hindi film superstar Ajay Devgn. The movie received audience appreciation, particularly for its impactful dialogues.

Arora’s involvement in “AZHAR” (2016), a biographical sports drama based on the controversial Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin, showcased his ability to handle diverse subjects with finesse.
