Plot
1987: After killing a criminal who killed his parents, Surya, also known as Suri, flees from the police and discovers a drug dealer gathering young boys to sell drugs. One of the youngsters, Raghava, won’t sell it since he was caught by the police. And that’s when the drug dealer begins torturing him. After Surya shoots the drug dealer, Raghava says he wants to go with him, and the other lads end up being Surya’s henchman.
2007: Raghava is Surya’s lieutenant and sworn brother. Surya is a don with a golden heart. Together, they control Andhra Pradesh’s underworld and assist the police in rooting out corruption. Stephen, a dreaded Mumbai don, killed a rival Goan don in a duel in which the loser would lose two men for every point of defeat.
Stephen eventually kept his wife as his mistress and went on to rule the state. Stephen wants to employ someone to help him expand his criminal enterprise into Andhra Pradesh. He sent one of his goons, S. P. Bhushan, to gather information about this state’s local don.
Nobody in the police department is aware of the identity of the traitor, and Bhushan is assigned by the Inspector General of Police to investigate Stephen’s case. He visits all state VIPs, with the exception of Seshu, who accepts Stephen’s proposal after it is revealed that Seshu is a pharmaceutical company industrialist and Surya’s former business partner.
Once Surya realizes this, his goons murder him. Bhushan sees a minister’s daughter during their proposal, and he rapes and kills her. At a pub, Surya kills Bhushan, and Raghava and the general public accuse the rape victim of killing him while he was raping her.
After disclosing all relevant information regarding Bhushan, Surya makes amends with the I.G. and inquires as to whether it is necessary to confirm that none of the department’s employees are corrupt officials, traitors, or even spies. When the I.G. asks for forgiveness, Surya grants it.
In the meantime, Anthony tells Stephen about Bhushan’s passing in Mumbai, and Stephen realizes how strong he is. Then Stephen tells Anthony that he wants Surya to come to Mumbai, but that Surya’s elder goon, Banerji (Jeeva), is forcing him to come to Andhra Pradesh. After a meeting that Surya set up in Andhra Pradesh and they exchanged biodata, Surya refuses to work with Stephen and tells him not to ever lay eyes on the state again.
Furious, Stephen makes multiple efforts to murder Surya, but his men are slain in the process. Rathnam wants to kill Raghava because, in the flashback (Raghava’s introduction scene), Raghava killed his son and injured his allies by making everyone in the college addicted to drugs. However, Raghava kills Rathnam because the latter hosted Stephen in Hyderabad as a hideout and attempted to carry out multiple bomb blasts, attack Raghava, and take down Surya.
Surya tells Stephen that he finished it in one hour and thirty minutes, even though Stephen had given him two hours to save the public. In the meantime, Surya develops feelings for Priya. She doesn’t like him at first, but she eventually comes to see that he is a decent man who reciprocates.
Additionally, Raghava meets Nandhini and develops emotions for her; she reciprocates his feelings. He gets trapped during this procedure, and Nandhini is exposed as Stephen’s go-to girl. After killing Nandhini and telling Stephen that Surya would kill him, Raghava is slain. When Surya and Stephen finally meet, Stephen gives Raghava’s body back. On the premise that (a person will lose two of his men for each fall he takes), Stephen challenges Surya to a battle.
Furious and devastated by Raghava’s passing, Surya agrees to take up his challenge. As the fight goes on, Surya loses two of his soldiers, including Anthony, who is Surya’s favorite. Surya keeps fighting, determined to win, and thrashes up Stephen and his two female bodyguards.
The late don of Goa’s wife claps at Surya and orders him to execute Stephen because, after killing her husband, he destroyed her life. After the fight, Surya kills Stephen to exact revenge on Raghava, cautions Stephen’s remaining goons not to follow in their boss’s footsteps, and ultimately, Surya ascends to the position of undisputed don of India.
