Biography:

Nikita Thukral is an Indian actress and model known primarily for her work in the Kannada film industry, and she has also made appearances in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam films. She was born into a Punjabi Hindu family and raised in Mumbai. Thukral holds an M.A. in Economics from Kishinchand Chellaram College, Mumbai. Her journey into the entertainment industry began when she was discovered by producer D. Ramanaidu while dining at a hotel in Juhu, leading to her first film role in “Hai” (2002).

Nikita Thukral’s career encompasses a diverse range of roles in various South Indian film industries. She started with the Telugu film “Hai” and then ventured into Malayalam cinema with “Kaiyethum Doorath.” While the latter film wasn’t a box office hit, it opened doors for her to work in Tamil and Telugu movies like “Kurumbu” and “Sambaram.” Her career in Kannada cinema kicked off in 2005 with the film “Maharaja.” One of her notable performances was in the Tamil film “Saroja,” directed by Venkat Prabhu, where she received critical acclaim for her role and won the ITFA Best Supporting Actress Award. Thukral has also been part of reality television, as she participated in the first season of “Bigg Boss Kannada” and secured the position of the second runner-up after spending 99 days in the Bigg Boss house.

In her career, Nikita Thukral has transitioned between various South Indian film industries, collaborating with prominent actors and taking on diverse roles. She has also dabbled in modeling and continues to explore her passion for acting in different regional and language cinemas, including her debut in a Hindi film called “Traffic.”
