Story:

“Devadas” is a 2018 Indian Telugu-language action-comedy film starring the talented actor Nani, who is known for his versatile performances. In this film, Nani plays the titular character, Devadas, a lovable and carefree character. The movie was produced by C. Ashwini Dutt under the Vyjayanthi Movies banner and directed by Sriram Adittya. It also features Nagarjuna Akkineni, Aakanksha Singh, and Rashmika Mandanna in prominent roles, with music composed by Mani Sharma.

“Devadas” hit theaters on September 27, 2018, and was well-received by audiences and critics alike.The story revolves around M. K. Das, portrayed by Nani, a highly educated individual with an M.S. degree. Das joins Medimax, a corporate hospital in Hyderabad, and is assigned to work in the mortuary as a surgeon. Despite his qualifications, Das starts off on a challenging note when he questions the improper medication prescribed by his senior colleague, Dr. Bharadwaj.

This leads to his dismissal from the job due to perceived unprofessional behavior.With his career in shambles, Das decides to open a clinic in his local area at the Shantabhai Memorial Charity Hospital. This decision marks the beginning of his transformative journey. As he navigates the ups and downs of his new venture, he unknowingly becomes intertwined with the enigmatic crime boss, Deva, portrayed by Nagarjuna Akkineni.

Deva, who is hiding his true identity after the death of his mentor and foster father, seeks refuge at Shantabhai Memorial Charity Hospital after being injured in a police shootout. Das treats him without realizing Deva’s criminal background. This sets the stage for a unique and heartwarming friendship to blossom between the two characters.

Deva is drawn to Das’s honesty and simplicity, affectionately calling him “Gold” in reference to his academic achievements. Deva and his associates undertake the task of renovating the clinic, attracting an influx of patients. As the clinic’s popularity grows, Das finds himself in a world filled with gangsters and criminals, all while remaining unaware of Deva’s true identity.

Amidst this chaos, Das falls in love with Pooja, played by Aakanksha Singh, who is working undercover as a cop investigating Deva. Simultaneously, Deva harbors feelings for Jahnvi, a journalist. Das, with his characteristic naivety, attempts to bring Deva and Jahnvi together, leading to an unexpected transformation in Deva’s character.

The plot takes a thrilling turn when Pooja plans to arrest Deva, and Das becomes a witness to a murder committed by Deva. This incident tests their friendship, causing a rift between the two characters. Deva, affected by the consequences of his actions, embarks on a journey of self-discovery and redemption.

In the film’s climax, Deva reveals his true identity during a live telecast and acknowledges Das for positively influencing his life. However, a confrontation with a rival crime boss, David, leads to a dramatic shootout, leaving Deva critically wounded. With the help of Dr. Bharadwaj, Das, and other surgeons, Deva’s death is faked to protect him from his enemies.

The film concludes with Deva and Das enjoying a well-deserved holiday on a cruise, accompanied by Jahnvi and Pooja, marking the end of their remarkable journey together. “Devadas” is a heartwarming tale of an unconventional friendship that transforms two individuals and showcases Nani’s exceptional acting prowess in a memorable role alongside Nagarjuna Akkineni.
