Classmates

Story:

In the drama feature film Classmates from 2007, Sumanth, Sharwanand, Ravi Varma, Sunil, Sadha, and Kamalinee Mukherjee star. The film was produced by Sravanthi Ravi Kishore and directed by K. Vijaya Bhaskar. The movie came out on April 20, 2007. It is a reimagining of the Malayalam film Classmates from 2006.

In the 1990s, Ravi, Raaji, Satish, Razia, and Baddu were a group of friends and classmates. They reunite for their ten-year reunion after a few years apart. Except for Murali, who passed away during their last semester, everyone is present.

When we were students in college, Satish led the other side of the students’ wing, while Ravi was the fiery leader of the left. Murali was an extreme vocalist. Rajeshwari was a classical dancer whose dance often brought honours to the college. Following a brief argument, Ravi and Raaji get along well and eventually fall in love. Desiring to become a higher-ranking politician, Satish wishes to wed Raaji, a politician’s daughter. In an attempt to sour things between the couple, he pushes Raaji to run against Ravi in the college elections. Eventually, at the college elections, he is successful in doing so.

Following an event, Murali passes away unexpectedly. Everyone believes that Murali’s asthma attack caused his death. Then, in the last semester of their BSC, Ravi abruptly leaves college and walks out in a fury, informing no one, hoping to succeed and land a decent career. Later on, he too passes the tests. Raaji believes that their ongoing disagreement is what caused Ravi to leave. Raaji then heard Satish admit to her that he was the one who caused Ravi to leave the college and broke Raaji’s heart in order to further his own small-time political ambitions. Additionally, he informed Raaji that Ravi was a kind, amiable, and truthful guy and that she had misinterpreted him. She too gave up on her studies and made an unsuccessful attempt to locate Ravi.
