Story:

Chandramuki is an Indian film strom created in 2005 by P.Vasu as a director. The film is an adoption from Malayalam movie Manichitrathazhu which was released in 1993. The movie has Super Star Rajinikanth and Prabhu as male leads and jyothika as main lead as Chandramuki. Nayanatara in female supporting role alongside Rajinikanth sir. The movie was released on 14 April 2005.

Coming to story, It begins with a wealthy couple kailash(Prabhu) and his wife Ganga(Jyothika) plans to buy Venkatapuram mansion near to his village, on the insistence of Ganga. To which his mother Kasthuri is against to the decision, because of the hunted stories, rumours about the mansion. To clear her doubts Kailash friend Eeswar(Rajinikanth) who is an excellent Psychiatrist visits the haunted mansion and learns about it. He comes to know about the story of the story of the Raja who ruled the same place about for 150 years back.

On of Raja’s visit to Tamil Nadu he like a dancer named Chandramukhi and forcibly got her and made a dancer in his court. But before to that Chandramukhi had a love interest on her co-dancer Gunasekaran. later after coming to Raja’s mansion she managed to keep her boyfriend secert in outhouse back side the mansion. After few days Raja cames to know about the secret of Chandramukhi and kills her boyfriend in front of her eyes and burns her lives on Durgashtami.

To take revenge on Raja, Chandramukhi becomes ghost and haunts the mansion. And she waits for Raja for years and years.
