Athadu

Story:

Trivikram Srinivas wrote and directed the action-thriller movie Athadu, which was released in 2005. Mahesh Babu, Trisha, Sonu Sood, Prakash Raj, Nassar, Sunil, Sayaji Shinde, Kota Srinivasa Rao, and Brahmanandam are among the ensemble cast members in the movie. Under the Jayabheri Arts brand, D. Kishore and M. Ram Mohan are in charge of producing it. Mani Sharma composed the music for the film. The film’s cinematography was done by K. V. Guhan, while Sreekar Prasad edited it.

When the movie first came out, audiences’ reactions ranged from fair to neutral. After a string of dud movies, the movie went on to become one of Telugu cinema’s best earners and signaled Mahesh Babu’s comeback. It received three Nandi Awards and a Filmfare Award for Best Director in the South.

It was later remade in Indian Bengali as Wanted (2010) and in Hindi as Ek: The Power of One (2009).

Over the years, Athadu received critical acclaim and cult status for Trivikram’s direction, screenplay & dialogues, writing, plot, Mani Sharma’s soundtrack, cinematography, action set pieces, humour, emotional weight of the story & Mahesh Babu’s performance. Athadu is considered as one of the best films in Telugu Cinema and also best film in Trivikram & Babu’s career.
