Story:

Student of the Year 2 is a Hindi romantic comedy film directed by Punit Malhotra and produced by Nokia Studios and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Serving as a standalone sequel to the 2012 film Student of the Year, it features Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria, Ananya Panday, and Aditya Seal. This film marks the Hindi cinema debuts of Panday and Sutaria. The film’s soundtrack was composed by Vishal–Shekhar.

The story follows Rohan, who enrolls in St. Teresa’s College to reunite with his love, Mridula. At the college, he becomes friends with Manav, the most popular student, but frequently clashes with Manav’s sister, Shreya.

Released on May 10, 2019, Student of the Year 2 received criticism from reviewers, who targeted the script and the unrealistic portrayal of Indian schools and colleges. The film had an average box office performance, grossing ₹98.6 crore worldwide against a budget of ₹65 crore.
