TheatreJana Nayagan is an upcoming Tamil-language political action thriller directed by H. Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions. The film features Vijay, Pooja Hegde, and Bobby Deol in leading roles, with Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain, Priyamani, Mamitha Baiju, Monisha Blessy, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in supporting roles. Notably, it is expected to be Vijay’s final film before his political debut and marks the studio’s first Tamil production.
The project was officially announced in September 2024 under the working title Thalapathy 69, as it is Vijay’s 69th film as a lead actor. The official title, Jana Nayagan, was revealed in January 2025. Principal photography began in February 2025, with initial schedules in Chennai and Payanoor. The film’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan, and editing by Pradeep E. Ragav.
Originally slated for a worldwide release on 17 October 2025, the film’s release has been postponed.
