Geetha Arts produced the 2011 Telugu romantic comedy film 100% Love, which was directed by Sukumar and produced by Bunny Vasu. Devi Sri Prasad wrote the music for the movie, which stars Tamannaah and Naga Chaitanya. The two main characters are cousins Balu and Mahalakshmi, who have a love-hate relationship.When 100% Love was released on May 6, 2011, both reviewers and viewers had good things to say about it.
Being a commercial hit, the movie went on to become one of the highest grossing Telugu movies of that year. Two Nandi Awards went to the movie. On July 22, 2011, the film, bearing the same title, was released in Malayalam after being dubbed. It was remade as 100% Kadhal (2019) in Tamil and Prem Ki Bujhini (2016) in Bengali.
Plot
The story opens at a bar where Balu enters wearing a wedding gown and orders a drink. Two people tell him to go get married and impress them by performing quick calculations while they are discussing debt. He tells them his story when they ask him to. Balu consistently ranks first in his college. His cousin Mahalakshmi stays at Balu’s house to finish her studies. She says after seeing her Mr. Perfect “Bava” that she is in awe of him.
When Mahalakshmi is asked her name after she is seen, she replies, “Veera Venkata Satya Sai Naga Durga.” Seetha Mahalakshmi Avathara Sesha She says he’ll just call her Mahalakshmi because Balu says her name is too long and he can’t waste that much memory trying to remember it. After taking her first exam and crying because she couldn’t understand English, Mahalakshmi receives the top rank and Balu comes in second.
This hurts Balu since he usually receives the top grade, and he makes plans to interfere with her studies. Mahalakshmi follows suit. To their astonishment, however, Ajith (Anand Krishna Nandu) takes the top spot this time. She declines his marriage proposal when Mahalakshmi’s father makes it in the interim. Mahalakshmi and Balu reach a compromise by deciding to support one another.
Balu assists her in having the proposal revoked, and Mahalakshmi diverts Ajith’s attention from his studies in order to benefit Balu, but Balu finds herself drawn to her. As the two begin their studies together, Ajith is sidetracked by Mahalakshmi. Balu receives a building award and first rank from his principal; at the housewarming party, Mahalakshmi tells Ajith that he did well in his studies despite her distracting him.
This comment hurts Balu because he doesn’t want Mahalakshmi to believe that anyone is superior to him. Balu’s ego is also bruised, and the couple decides to call it quits. Three years later, they reunite in a hospital as a result of their grandmother’s unexpected illness. Mahalakshmi discovers that Balu hasn’t changed at all while attempting to find out how he is doing. Before their parents try to get them married, they fight a lot.
Unexpectedly, Balu shares that he intends to marry Swapna, his girlfriend. Mahalakshmi discovers that Swapna is far more than she appears to be when he introduces her to his family. She consents to marry Ajith, Balu’s former college rival, in retaliation. Mahalakshmi discovers that Swapna is far more than she appears to be when he introduces her to his family. It turns out that Ajith is in charge of a business that produces more than Balu’s. Enraged that Ajith is better than him, Balu jeopardizes his business in an attempt to outperform Ajith’s. Sadly, Balu’s partner deceives him, and he faces the possibility of losing his business. His project manager at the moment, Mahalakshmi, struggles to save him.
They work well together, saving Balu’s business.During a post-party, Balu gives Mahalakshmi credit for his achievements. She inadvertently damages Balu’s ego once more. This time, Balu admits that he loved Mahalakshmi and felt compelled to live up to her expectations. Balu doesn’t believe her when she tells him she feels the same way. In the end, they come together due to their grandfather’s intervention.
