Ammu Abhirami

Biography:

Ammu Abhirami is an Indian actress who has acted in both Tamil and Telugu films. Her debut in the film industry was through the 2017 Tamil movie “Bairavaa,” in which she shared the screen with Vijay. Notably, she gained recognition for her significant roles in movies like “Ratsasan” (2018), “Thambi” (2019), and “Asuran” (2019). Additionally, she secured the 2nd Runner Up position in the third season of the television show “Cooku with Comali.”

Ammu Abhirami’s initial film releases encompassed “Bairavaa” (2017), “En Aaloda Seruppa Kaanom” (2017), and “Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru” (2017), where she played supporting characters. Her role as a schoolgirl facing challenges in “Ratsasan” garnered attention. This role was reprised in the Telugu version of the film titled “Rakshasudu” (2019), where she acted alongside Bellamkonda Sreenivas and Anupama Parameswaran. In “Thuppakki Munai” (2018), she portrayed a teenage girl who becomes a victim of rape and murder.

In the year 2019, Ammu Abhirami played a prominent role in Vetrimaaran’s drama “Asuran.” She was chosen for this role based on the recommendation of producer S. Thanu, with whom she had previously collaborated on “Thuppakki Munai” (2018). Her character, Maari, depicted a schoolgirl living in rural Tamil Nadu during the 1960s.
