Biography:

Vivek Mervin, the dynamic Indian music composer duo comprising Vivek Siva and Mervin Solomon, has made a significant impact on Tamil language films with their melodious creations. Collaborating on projects like “Vadacurry” (2014), “Dora” (2016), “Pattas” (2020), “Sulthan” (2021), “Sangathamizhan” (2020), and “Gulaebaghavali” (2018), their musical journey has been marked by success.

Vivek, an alumnus of Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan School in Chennai, honed his skills in Carnatic mandolin and showcased his musical prowess with the fusion band “Zinx.” Mervin, who learned piano from an early age, was part of various bands and joined forces with Vivek in “Zinx.”

The duo’s association with renowned composer Anirudh Ravichander, coupled with their work on films like “Kaaki Sattai,” “Kathi,” “Edhir Neechal,” “VIP,” “Petta,” and more, solidified their presence in the industry. Noteworthy hits like “Nenjukulla Nee” from “Vadacurry” and “Neeye” from “Pugazh,” featuring Arijit Singh’s debut in Tamil, garnered widespread acclaim.

Their compositions for stars like Dhanush, Karthi, Vijay Sethupathy, Nayanthara, and Prabhudeva resonated with audiences, producing viral hits such as “Orasaadha,” “Guleba,” “Chill Bro,” and “Jai Sulthan.”

Beyond film music, Vivek Mervin ventured into independent singles, collaborating with Sony Music South. Their dedication to live performances was evident in concerts, award shows, college pro events, and the YouTube One Nation Festival.
