Indian composer and flautist Vishnu Vijay is primarily involved in Malayalam filmmaking. The 2016 Malayalam movie Guppy marked the start of his cinema music career. Ambili (2019), Thallumaala (2022), Sulaikha Manzil (2023), and Premalu (2024) are some of his other works.
Vijay completed his education at Government Model Boys Higher Secondary School in Thiruvananthapuram before earning a bachelor’s degree in performing arts. He also graduated from Swathi Thirunal College of Music in Thiruvananthapuram with a degree in vocal music. He has been trained in music by Kudamaloor Janardanan.
Before entering the Malayalam industry, Vishnu collaborated with composers Devi Sri Prasad in Tamil and Telugu, as well as G. V. Prakash Kumar, Vijay Antony, and Santhosh Narayanan in Tamil. He and Amit Trivedi have collaborated. He has ties to Deepak Dev, Vidyasagar, Gopi Sunder, and Ouseppachan in Malayalam.
