Vinod Kishan has acted in films in the Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam languages. He made his acting debut in Bala’s Nandha (2001) as a young actor, and then went on to play the villain in Vidiyum Munn (2013) and Naan Mahaan Alla (2010).
Before playing younger versions of Suriya’s characters in Samasthanam (2002) and Sena (2003), Vinoth Kishan made his acting debut as a young actor in Bala’s Nandha (2001). He portrayed Ajith Kumar’s younger brother in A. L. Vijay’s Kireedam (2007) in a supporting role.
In Suseenthiran’s 2010 film Naan Mahaan Alla, Kishan created a name for himself by playing a villain. He was praised for his depiction as a murderous college student. He trained in stunts for three months under combat choreographer Mahendran to get ready for the part, and he then spent forty days filming. Following his performance in the movie, director Balaji cast him as the antihero in Vidiyum Munn (2013). He practiced the technique of not blinking extensively before playing the part because his character required it, and the critics praised his interpretation.
In the upcoming Tamil film Papparapaam, he plays a character who reanimates during his death. and Andhaghaaram in which he plays a blind man.
