Vikramjeet Virk

Biography:

Vikramjeet Virk, born on July 19, 1984, in Tharwa Majra village, Karnal district, Haryana, is an Indian actor. He comes from a Punjabi Sikh family with a farming background. Vikramjeet was a talented athlete, representing his state in kabaddi and playing basketball and volleyball.

In 2003, Vikramjeet moved to Delhi to pursue his graduation from Delhi University. It was during this time that he entered the world of modelling. Despite the conflict with his Sikh beliefs and his parents’ objections, Vikramjeet decided to pursue modelling as his career. He debuted at the Lakme India Fashion Week, worked with renowned fashion photographers, and appeared in music videos.

Vikramjeet’s modelling career was restricted due to his adherence to certain personal rules, such as abstaining from drinking, smoking, and partying. He described himself as religious, regularly visiting the gurudwara. Nevertheless, he established himself in the modelling world, walking the ramp for leading designers and brands.

His breakthrough in Bollywood came with Ashutosh Gowariker’s film “Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey” (2010), where he portrayed the negative role of Inspector Assanullah Khan. He also played the lead antagonist in the Malayalam film “Casanovva” (2012) opposite Mohanlal, receiving praise for his performance and action sequences.

Vikramjeet ventured into television with the historical show “Shobha Somnath Ki” (2011), portraying Mahmud of Ghazni, for which he received critical acclaim and won the Best Actor in Negative Role award at the Zee Rishtey Awards. He appeared in other TV shows like “Jai Jag Janani Maa Durga” (2012), “Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev” (2014), and “Maharakshak Aryan” (2014).

In Tollywood, Vikramjeet acted in films such as “Heart Attack” and “Bhimavaram Bullodu” and was cast in “Rudhramadevi” and “Sher.” He expressed his desire to experiment with diverse characters to develop his acting skills further.
