Tom Hanks is an American actor, film director, producer, writer, and director who is considered to be one of the best and influential actors in the history of cinema. Famous for his versatility, warm nature, and capability to play characters that are emotionally appealing to people, Tom Hanks became known during his performances in Splash (1984) and Big (1988) movies. Over his forty-year career in the business, Hanks starred in a huge number of successful and critically acclaimed movies such as Philadelphia (1993), Forrest Gump (1994), Apollo 13 (1995), Saving Private Ryan (1998), The Green Mile (1999), Cast Away (2000), Catch Me If You Can (2002), The Da Vinci Code series of movies, Captain Phillips (2013), Bridge of Spies (2015), A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (2019), and Elvis (2022).
