Sushant Singh, an Indian character actor, television actor, novelist, and presenter, was born on March 9, 1972. He is well known for his roles in Hindi and Telugu films. In 1998, he made his acting debut in Ram Gopal Varma’s Satya. He next acted in Jungle (2000), earning the IIFA Award and Zee Cine Award for Best Performance in a Negative Role for his portrayal of killed bandit Durgaa Narayan Chaudhary.
He later established himself in Bollywood by appearing in popular historical dramas like Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and The Legend of Bhagat Singh.
He has appeared in Telugu movies as well. He was the host of the Life OK and STAR Bharat crime program Savdhaan India. He resigned from his position as “Honorary Secretary” of CINTAA (Cine and Television Artists Association) in May 2020 citing personal reasons. With Kulpreet Yadav, he co-wrote the novel Queens of Crime.
