Biography:

Subramaniam Panchu Arunachalam, popularly known as Subbu Panchu or P. Ar. Subramaniam, is a notable Indian actor and film producer, born on February 16, 1973. He has a strong connection to the entertainment industry as the son of the renowned writer-producer Panchu Arunachalam. Subbu’s early exposure to films began when he appeared as a child artist in the Malayalam movie “Daisy.” His entry into the world of cinema continued as he joined his father’s production company, P. A. Art Productions, where he initially worked as an assistant production manager on various films, including the Rajinikanth-starrer “Guru Sishyan.” Over time, he rose through the ranks, becoming a prominent producer, and was involved in the production of several films, ultimately earning the title of executive producer.

Despite a brief hiatus, Subbu’s passion for acting persisted. He made a return to acting through the television series “Arasi,” gaining recognition for his performance. His breakthrough came with the 2010 comedy film “Boss Engira Bhaskaran,” in which he played a significant role. This role catapulted him to fame and opened doors to more acting opportunities. He continued to explore his talents by occasionally working as a voice actor and choreographer.

Subbu’s journey also included experiences in roles beyond acting. He had previously showcased his choreography skills in the film “Vidukadhai,” which was produced by K. Balachander. He also lent his voice to dubbing for actors in movies like “Sivaji: The Boss” and “Kandaswamy.” His multifaceted career extended to advertisements, where he appeared in commercials for brands such as Hamam and Lakshmi ceramics. Presently, he hosts the game show “Aayirathil Oruvan” on the Zee Tamil channel.
