Sanjana Sarathy

Biography:

Sanjana Sarathy is an Indian actress and model primarily active in the Tamil film industry. She gained recognition for her minor role as Vijay’s sister (Jagdeesh) in the 2012 Tamil film “Thuppakki.” Her modeling work includes campaigns for various brands such as Cinthol, Amazon Firestick, 7up, Pizza Hut, AVT tea, 7UP Madras Gig, and Ace2Three.

Sanjana was born on July 25, 1995, to Vijay Sarathy and Rajie Vijay Sarathy. She attended St. Michael’s Academy in Chennai for her schooling. She pursued a B.Sc. in Electronic Media at M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women and later completed her M.Sc. in Electronic Media at Anna University in Chennai. Following her studies, she began working for a news media company based in Hong Kong.

While Sanjana’s acting debut was in “Vazhakku Enn 18/9,” directed by Balaji Shakthivel, her breakthrough came with “Thuppakki,” where she portrayed the youngest sister of Vijay’s character, Jagdeesh. She also appeared in the music video “Avizhaai” of the 7UP Madras Gig’s second season. Her performance in the 2019 ZEE5 web series “Fingertip” received positive reviews.

Sanjana is currently the female lead in the movie “Ninaivo Oru Paravai,” opposite Jump Cuts – Hari Bhaskar in the male lead role. She also operates as a stylist and runs her own designer label called Chatterfox. Additionally, she took part in Yuvan Shankar Raja’s 2019 US tour as a performer.
