Biography:

Rajesh, an accomplished Indian actor, has made his mark in both the Tamil and Malayalam film industries, as well as in television serials. With a career spanning over 47 years, he has demonstrated his versatility by taking on lead roles and supporting characters in a staggering 150 films. Rajesh’s acting journey encompasses a wide spectrum, ranging from heroic figures to character roles.

Born in 1949 to Williams Nattar and Lily Grace Mankondar in Mannargudi, Tiruvarur district, Rajesh’s ancestral roots trace back to Anaikkadu in Thanjavur district. His educational path led him through institutions like Dindigul, Vadamadurai, Melanatham Aanaikadu, and Chinnamanur in Theni district. After completing his Pre-University Course (PUC) at Karaikudi Alagappa College, he briefly attended Pachaiappas College. However, he departed his college education prematurely. Prior to venturing into acting, Rajesh served as a teacher at St. Paul’s High School in Purasawalkam and later at Kellett Higher Secondary School in Triplicane from 1972 to 1979.

In 1974, Rajesh made his cinematic debut with a minor role in the film “Aval Oru Thodar Kathai.” His first starring role came in the form of “Kanni Paruvathile” (1979), produced by Rajkannu. He notably featured in K. Balachander’s “Achamillai Achamillai.” As time progressed, Rajesh transitioned into character portrayals, sharing screen space with Kamal Haasan in notable films like “Sathya,” “Mahanadhi,” and “Virumandi.”

Rajesh has diversified his interests, engaging in ventures within the hospitality and real estate sectors, solidifying his position as a prominent builder in the city. He has also showcased his literary talents by penning biographies of Hollywood actors in Tamil.
