Quentin Tarantino is an Academy Award-winning American director, screenwriter, producer, and actor, considered to be one of the most significant and distinctive directors of modern times. Famous for his unapologetic narrative style, non-linear plots, clever dialogue, stylized violence, and eclectic soundtracks, Quentin Tarantino created a unique filmmaking technique that has become a source of inspiration for many future filmmakers. Tarantino’s films feature various homages to Hollywood classics, spaghetti westerns, martial arts movies, crime and thriller genres, as well as exploitation films combined with dark humor and unique characters. Reservoir Dogs marked Tarantino’s directorial debut in 1992, yet he came into prominence with Pulp Fiction in 1994 when the film won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival and became highly influential in its time.
