Biography:

Indian film director, screenwriter, and actor Jude Anthany Joseph (born Sijo Joseph) works in the Malayalam film business. Ohm Shanthi Oshaana, which he directed for the first time in 2014, won the Best Film with Popular Appeal and Aesthetic Value at the 45th Kerala State Film Awards. His film 2018 was well-received and made about ₹200 crores (US$25 million) at the box office, making it the highest-grossing Malayalam film ever. The movie was selected as India’s official submission for Best International Feature Film at the 96th Academy Awards on September 27, 2023, by the Film Federation of India.Crazy Gopalan (2008) marked the beginning of his film career. Following that, he worked as an assistant director on the Malayalam movies Thattathin Marayathu (2012) and Malarvaadi Arts Club (2010). Additionally, he directed two short films: Yellow Pen (2012), which starred Aju Varghese, and Mammookka’s Biography, which was based on the life of Malayalam cinema star Mammootty. The short film was finished in 2011, but it wasn’t until February 2014 that it was made public on YouTube. The short film quickly gained popularity and received about 59,000 views in just one month. The Malayalam film Ohm Shanthi Oshaana, which was released in February 2014, marked his directing debut.
