His journey in the music industry began in the late ’90s, and since then, he has become one of the most sought-after composers.

Pritam’s early career saw him working on various projects, but it was his breakthrough with the film “Dhoom” in 2004 that catapulted him to fame. The soundtrack’s success showcased his versatility, blending different genres seamlessly. His ability to create diverse and memorable tunes quickly made him a favorite among filmmakers and audiences alike. Known for his distinctive style, Pritam’s compositions often feature a fusion of traditional Indian elements with contemporary sounds.

His melodies have a universal appeal, making them resonate with a broad audience. Over the years, he has collaborated with numerous playback singers, lyricists, and musicians, contributing to the success of numerous Bollywood blockbusters. Pritam’s impressive discography includes hit soundtracks for movies such as “Jab We Met,” “Dilwale,” “Barfi!,” and “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil,” among others.

His work has earned him several awards and nominations, solidifying his position as a musical maestro in the Indian film industry. Pritam and his team actively oversee and guide the young talent, with some of these artists eventually becoming integral parts of Pritam’s musical endeavors.

The inception of JAM8 was officially announced by Pritam on April 9, 2016, through a Twitter post. In this announcement, he introduced J.A.M 8 (Just About Music) alongside Kaushik-Akash, who marked the beginning as the first artists on his A&R Music Production platform. JAM8’s initial venture into mainstream Indian music materialized with the release of the 1920 London soundtrack in 2016.

Subsequently, they contributed as composers for the soundtrack of the 2017 film “Raees,” with their composition “Zaalima” gaining widespread acclaim. Their journey in Bollywood continued, encompassing projects such as “Behen Hogi Teri,” “Raabta,” “Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana,” “Race 3,” “Loveratri,” as well as recent films like “14 Phere” and “Helmet”.

Additionally, they made contributions to Telugu film “Touch Chesi Chudu” and Bengali films like “Crisscross” and “Villain.” A significant milestone for JAM8 occurred in June 2022 when they unveiled their inaugural non-soundtrack album, titled “Roposo JamRoom.” This release was a collaborative effort involving 19 Indian background singers and 12 selected composers who were mentored by Pritam. The album, launched under the Sony Music India label, exemplifies JAM8’s commitment to fostering emerging musical talent and expanding their creative horizons.
