Story:

“Badhaai Ho” is a Hindi-language comedy-drama film directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and produced by Sharma, Aleya Sen, and Hemant Bhandari under Chrome Pictures, along with Vineet Jain under Junglee Pictures. The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Neena Gupta, with supporting roles by Gajraj Rao, Surekha Sikri, Shardul Rana, and Sanya Malhotra. The soundtrack features music by Tanishk Bagchi, Rochak Kohli, JAM8, and Sunny Bawra-Inder Bawra.

Released on October 18, 2018, the film follows the story of a middle-aged couple who unexpectedly become pregnant, causing shock and disappointment among their sons, followed by their struggles to cope with and accept the situation. Written by Shantanu Srivastava and Akshat Ghildial, with a story by Jyoti Kapoor, “Badhaai Ho” received positive reviews and was a commercial hit, becoming the ninth-highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2018. A spiritual successor, “Badhaai Do,” was released on February 11, 2022.
