Indian business executive and film and television producer Namit Malhotra was born on April 2, 1976. In addition to being the chief executive officer of its British-Indian subsidiary DNEG, which focuses on visual effects, animation, and stereo conversion, he is the founder and non-executive director of Prime Focus Limited, an Indian visual and special effects company that is the largest independent integrated media services company in the world.
Malhotra is the grandson of cinematographer M. N. Malhotra, who contributed to Jhansi Ki Rani, one of India’s first color films, in 1953, and the eldest son of Bollywood film producer Naresh Malhotra. He attended Jasudben M L School in Khar and was raised in Mumbai, India. From Mumbai’s H.R. College of business and Economics, he earned a bachelor’s degree in business.
