Nakshathra Nagesh

Biography:

Indian actress and TV anchor Nakshathra Nagesh has appeared in Tamil movies and television series. Nakshathra attended Chennai’s Chettinad Vidyashram. Before entering the entertainment sector as a video jockey, she attended IHM to study hotel management. Before going on to host television programs like Sun Singer for Sun TV and serve as an awards host for events like Sun Kudumbam Viruthugal and the South Indian International Movie Awards, she first worked on Thanthi TV as the host of the show Vaanavil. In addition, Nakshatra appeared in small parts in the feature films Settai (2013) and Vaayai Moodi Pesavum (2014), as well as in short films like En Iniye Pon Nilave.

She later starred in As I’m Suffering From Kadhal, one of the first Tamil-language web series, with an ensemble cast directed by Balaji Mohan. According to one reviewer, Nakshatra “looks fantastic and plays her role perfectly.”

After that, Nakshatra played a major part in Khushbu’s television series Lakshmi Stores, which was her first major role in a Tamil television drama on prime time. Nakshatra received praise from critics for her portrayal of the shy Bhagyalakshmi. The Chennai Times ranked her as the fourth most “desirable woman on television” in 2018.
