Mahanadhi Shankar An actor who is well-known in the Tamil film industry and famous were the antagonistic roles his characters play in stories. He portrayed the villainous jail warden Thulukanam in his debut movie, Mahanadi, who caused problems for Kamal Hassan. He was eventually given the stage name Mahanadhi Shankar due to his exceptional work. He has since appeared in a variety of comedic and villainous roles in movies.
He made his acting debut in 1994’s Mahanadi and has since acted in several other Tamil films from the 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s. He typically portrayed villains or quirky supporting roles. He called Ajith Kumar’s character in Dheena, “Thala.” Ajith Kumar’s admirers now call him “Thala.”
Mahanadi Shankar plays Subba Rao in the 2009 Tamil action film Padikkathavan, which also stars Dhanush, Tamannaah, Vivek, and Suman. His next on-screen appearance is in the August 2, 2019 release of the drama/fantasy film Jackpot. In C. S. Amudhan’s 2010 comedy Thamizh Padam, he played “Drugs” Ravi.
He starred as Inspector Ponmaanickam in K. Johnson’s comedy-romcom Parris Jeyaraj, which was released in 2021. Charlie Chaplin, Amarkalam (1999), Indian (1996), Ratchagan (1997), and Alli Arjuna (2002) are among the other movies he has contributed to.
In Lokesh Kanagaraj’s action thriller Master from 2021, Mahanadi Shankar played Thulukanam. Additionally, he starred in the Sun TV series Maya (2019), Nandini (2019), Vanathai Pola (2020), and Nadhaswaram (2010–2015).
