Julian Clarke is a Canadian film editor who was born on September 3, 1977. Vancouver is the birthplace of Clarke. Following his graduation from Kitsilano Secondary School, he enrolled as a film major at the University of British Columbia. Clarke started looking for work as a professional film editor as soon as he graduated from UBC in 2000. For his work on the science-fiction movie District 9, Clarke received nominations for the 2009 Academy Award for Best Film Editing, the BAFTA Award for Best Editing, the ACE Eddie Award for Best Edited Feature Film (Dramatic), the Satellite Award for Best Editing, and the Online Film Critics Society Award for Best Editing.
