Biography:

Harshdeep Kaur, born on 16 December 1986, is an Indian playback singer celebrated for her versatile contributions to Bollywood Hindi, Punjabi, English, and Sufi songs. Known as “Sufi Ki Sultana,” she gained fame for her soulful Sufi renditions.

At the age of sixteen, Harshdeep Kaur marked her entry into Bollywood with the song “Sajna Mai Haari.” Since then, she has established herself as a leading playback singer in the Indian film industry, collaborating with renowned music directors, including A R Rahman, Pritam Chakraborty, Vishal–Shekhar, Salim–Sulaiman, and more. Notably, she is among the few Indian singers to lend her voice to a Hollywood film, contributing to the track “R.I.P.” in the movie “127 Hours,” composed by AR Rahman.

Harshdeep’s repertoire includes popular songs like “Katiya Karun” from Rockstar, “Dilbaro” from Raazi, “Heer” from Jab Tak Hai Jaan, “Ik Onkar” from Rang De Basanti, “Zaalima” from Raees, and many more across different languages.

In 2019, she received the IIFA Award for Best Female Playback Singer for the song “Dilbaro” from the film Raazi, adding to her list of accolades, including the Star Screen Award and Zee Cine Award for the same song.
