Curry Barker is the writer, director, and editor of the 2025 American supernatural horror movie Obsession. The movie centers on Bear (Michael Johnston), a music store employee who wishes for his childhood friend Nikki (Inde Navarrette) to fall in love with him after purchasing a magical toy. Andy Richter, Megan Lawless, and Cooper Tomlinson also have supporting parts.
On September 5, 2025, Obsession debuted as a part of the Midnight Madness segment of the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival. Focus Features plans to release it in theaters in the US on May 15, 2026. Critics gave the movie favorable reviews.
A hopeless romantic gets precisely what he wanted after breaking the enigmatic “One Wish Willow” to win his crush’s heart, but he quickly learns that some wishes have a dark, frightening cost.
