TheatreStory:
Comedian-actor Kapil Sharma is making a comeback to the big screen, and this time it’s with a family show that’s already generating excitement on the internet. Fans were immediately drawn in by Kapil’s straightforward and sincere caption, “Need your blessings,” when he shared the trailer for his forthcoming movie Dadi Ki Shaadi. In a matter of hours, the trailer started to circulate on social media, generating interest and discussions.
The trailer initially presents a recognizable family environment full of coziness, humor, and relatable moments. However, the story takes an unexpected—and hilarious—turn just as everything appear to be going according to plan. As the story delves into the pandemonium surrounding not one, but two weddings in the same family, what transpires is a rollercoaster of feelings, humor, and mayhem.Films
As he gets ready to wed his lover, Sadia Khateeb, Kapil Sharma portrays Tony, a man hoping to start over following a divorce. Before a significant turn of events completely upends everything, everything seems to be going according to plan. When Neetu Kapoor’s character, Tony’s potential grandmother-in-law, decides to marry herself, the family experiences perplexity and comedic tension.
When Tony’s grandfather, portrayed by Yograj Singh, vehemently opposes the plan and threatens to call off the wedding completely, the tension intensifies. As a result, the family struggles to put everything back in order, which results in a number of amusing attempts to persuade the grandma to change her mind. In the midst of all of this, Tony decides to find the mysterious man in his grandmother’s life, giving the plot an entertaining twist.
Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, who appears on screen alongside her real-life mother Neetu Kapoor, makes her acting debut in the teaser. With a varied ensemble that includes Sarath Kumar and a number of seasoned actors, Ashish R Mohan’s film promises a healthy blend of comedy, emotion, and family drama.
