Actor Gajaraj is well-known for his roles in the Tamil films Iraivi (2016), Kabali (2016), and Onaayum Aattukkuttiyum (2013). Gajaraj is known for his cameos in short roles; he is claimed to have gotten his start in acting by watching MGR and Sivaji Ganesan films.
He plays Marthandam in the movie Kabali, who was a teammate of Kabali’s when they were younger but is now employed by Gang ’43’. Additionally, this actor has had a few brief appearances in Tamil films, including “Rajini Murugan” and “Mundasupatti”. In addition, Gajaraj starred in his son’s upcoming Tamil multi-star drama “Iraivi” and in his second directorial effort, “Jigarthanda”.
Karthik Subbaraj, a filmmaker, is the son of Gajaraj. Gajaraj was from Madurai, and rumour has it that Rajinikanth is a big fan of the entire family. According to reports, actor Kalaiyarasan proposed Gajaraj’s name for the movie Kabali. Gajaraj spent about 30 days filming the movie and appears for at least 15 minutes total.
In response to a question from the media about his experience working with the superstar, Gajaraj claimed he was unable to adequately put the feelings into words. Everyone in his family has seen each of Rajinikanth’s films at least three times.
According to reports, his son Karthik Subbaraj is an engineer who participated in theater and drama during his time in college. In addition to writing numerous scripts, his son also received awards for his acting work while in college.
After working for five years in the engineering profession, the actor decided to pursue his passion for movies because his son showed a special interest in acting. He merely spent three days filming the father role in his son’s next film, “Iravai.”
It appears that Gajaraj has applied for and even attended an audition for a part in his son’s film “Iravai.” Even once, Karthik Subbaraj was involved in short films and received praise for them. Gajaraj, the father, was skeptical of his son’s desire to pursue a career in film because there is no industry support for such a move.
Karthik has created the plot for the low-budget movie “Pizza” and has directed fifteen short films. Jigarthanda, which his son directed, received praise from Mani Ratnam and Thalapathy Vijay.
Gajaraj hoped that his kid will also have the opportunity to work alongside superstar Rajinikanth on cinema. According to Gajaraj, Rajinikanth interacts with everyone of his admirers in public gatherings and is a genuine person.
Gajaraj, his younger teammate, gave priority to Tony Lee, the industrialist and businessman who leads the Malaysian Gangster Group ’43’, while Rajinikanth played Kabaliwaran, the leader of the Malayalam Gangster Group ’00’. Pa. Ranjith directed this movie, Kabali.
The movie Kabali is renowned for its sharp remarks, and one cannot overlook the famous actor’s sardonic comment to Gajaraj during a highly applauded scene: “Nalla Saapudunga Marthandam! Ukkarunga!”.
