Eli Attie is a writer, producer, and former White House employee who has won an Emmy. Throughout Gore’s 2000 presidential election concession, which Attie and Gore co-wrote, he was Vice President Al Gore’s principal White House and campaign wordsmith. After that, Attie worked as a writer-producer for a long time on the drama shows The West Wing, House, Billions, and The Diplomat, where he is now an executive producer. Attie was born and raised in New York City. His father was commercial and fine art photographer David Attie (whose archive he has assisted in reviving), his brother is the well-known mathematician Oliver Attie, and his mother is renowned feminist painter Dotty Attie. He was an editor of The Harvard Crimson while attending Harvard College after graduating from Hunter College High School.
