Doddanna, born on November 11, 1949, is an esteemed Indian actor within the Kannada film industry, boasting a remarkable filmography of approximately 800 movies. He embarked on his career as a theater actor, eventually making his foray into the Kannada film scene as a character artist.

Hailing from the Lingayat community, Doddanna is the youngest son in his family and was given the name in honor of his grandfather, Kadle Doddappa.

Throughout his illustrious career, Doddanna has adeptly portrayed a diverse range of roles, including villains, policemen, and various other characters. His comedic roles, in particular, have garnered significant success and acclaim.
