Spanish actor David Solans Cortés was born on August 3, 1996. In the movie Son of Cain, Solans made his screen debut alongside Jesús Monllaó, who offered him the role of Nico, a chess-obsessed maniac. In the ensuing years, he portrayed the lead in David Aymerich’s feature film El dulce sabor de limón and the online series La caida de Apolo, which was directed by Marc and Oriol Puig. He made his television debut as Oscar in the first season of Antena 3’s Bajo Sospecha.
He played Bruno Bergeron, a student who struggles to accept himself as he is and whose father becomes his new philosophy teacher, in the TV series Merlí from TV3 in 2015. La Sexta chose to dub the show in Castilian for the entire nation as a result of the widespread praise it garnered from Catalans. The second season of Merlí debuted in 2016. One episode before the season concluded, he departed the show after the twelfth episode. He also debuted as Ramón Serrano Suñer in the four-episode Telecinco miniseries Lo que escondación sus ojos that same year.
