Kishor Pandurang Belekar
Biography:
Indian Marathi filmmaker Kishor Pandurang Belekar is most known for his 2013 picture Yeda. Kishor is a theatre aficionado who has worked for 12 or 13 years as a playwright, director, and actor. He earned 25 honors for writing and directing the one-act play “Mission Vasco De Gama” in a single year, including state awards, in addition to praise from critics and audiences.
His career started with Mr. Ketan Mehta, a National Award winner, as an assistant director for the 1998 television series Captain Vyom, which starred Rahul Bose and Milind Soman.
The first independent feature film I worked on as a technical director was “Bhiu Nakos Mi Tuzhya Pathishi Aahe” (a mythological feature film), even though there was always more work to be done and each project was equally valuable.
But as a writer, editor, and director, the hope, aim, and goal was to create his first feature film. The Marathi feature film Sa Sasucha (2010), written, directed, and edited by Kishor Belekar, was released throughout India on August 27, 2010. The audience enjoyed this “suspense thriller,” which starred well-known actors Sonalee Kulkarni, Sunil Barve, Vinay Apte, Yatin Karyekar, and others.
